reported in frederick a half mile. down in warrenton at a mile. leonardtown and tappahannock, visibilities quite low. that's zero visibility from leonardtown. here comes monika with a traffic update. >>> good morning. it's still looking great out there. the good news is that all of your construction from overnight is gone and all the lanes are open on all of your major thoroughfares. so far i'm going to keep my fingers crossed that your friday morning stays that way. route 32 out of columbia, 95 coming in down toward laurel, the bw parkway, no issues to report into greenbelt. all that construction in the greenbelt area on the beltway is cleared up. let's take a live look outside. if you're planning to head here on 95 at route 198, as i said, coming in from laurel and even baltimore, everything is looking good. back over to our maps. this time we'll head over to the inside of the beltway. 395 across the 14th street bridge, 295 at the 11th street bridge and even 66 toward the roosevelt bridge, all lanes are open to the river. we'll take a live look at the 14th street bridge. nice and light t

culpeper and warrenton, there's even a touch of fog in the air. visibilities a mile or less in a few spots. we will see a mix of sun and clouds today. that will help boost temperatures to near 80 by noon. winds sort of variable at 5 miles an hour. by this evening, though, clouds will increase and another piece of energy means more showers and storms will be possible late this afternoon into the evening hours. maybe the first part of the night. so if you've got plans during the day they should be okay. but the ravens are home tonight. that may get impacted. this morning the showers and storms up to our north, you see this cluster of lightning and thunder which is passing and has passed our northern counties in frederick and carol and now passing baltimore county. but we've got more showers which are coming out of hancock along 70 headed toward hagerstown and green castle. so those areas we'll have to watch. we may see it slip toward the martinsburg area in a chill. temps running in the 60s. manassas has fallen to 59. it's 67 at andrews. 64 in crofton and rockville. 66 for leesburg. 62 in ce

in hagerstown. 69 in leesburg and 70 degrees in warrenton. the bay, we do have a small craft advisory in place for tomorrow. keep that in mind. 72 in andrews air force base and 71 in pax river. the redskins forecast will be breezy. besides that, it looks great. kickoff at 1:00 p.m. as the redskins take on the bengals and the temperature in the low 70s. over the next three days, green light, no problems out here. we're looking good and beautiful weather for monday and tuesday. now on tuesday, you'll notice an increase in temperature and an increase in cloud cover. our next storm system arrives on wednesday and that will bring us some showers, maybe a rumble of thunder on wednesday and thursday. you see the temperatures will be back up to around 80 degrees on wednesday. but that's the only day in the seven-day forecast that we touch 80 degrees. besides that, we have that fall- like feel in the atmosphere. you're going to notice a difference. i know you said you liked today. tomorrow will be a big difference, but if you don't mind that fall-like feel in there, i think you'll like it tomorrow, too

of leesburg north of warrenton. that's as dangerous as anything else. so when you hear thunder, get indoors. big time storm around marshall. he would jump 50, get on the other side of -- we'll jump 50, get on the other side of 50 very close to aldie, this magenta color indicating hail. some of it could be actually damaging. we'll go down to this storm around marshall and there's big time hail. this is just heavy rain which could cause flash flooding. we've got primarily two threats with these storms, hail and heavy downpours. we'll zoom back out and this is the warnings now in effect. you can see it covers aldie and covers almost a good chunk of loudoun county and a little tiny chunk of montgomery county, but my hunch is we'll see this expanded on the west side of 270 in the next hour or so. we will keep you posted on that. temperatures, 76 right now, dew point 64. so it is more like summer than fall, no doubt about that. severe thunderstorm watch until midnight. the storms contain hail. they contain heavy rain. the good news is they should be out of here by 1 appear. weekends a bit un-- 1

there is a little bit of fog right now. warrenton is seeing some fog as well. other than that, not much going on here at all. and things are looking pretty good as we shape into the day for the forecast. 84degrees as was our high yesterday at national airport. that is one degree below the seasonal average. it got cooler yesterday with these temperatures mainly because of the fact we had so much cloud cover in the earlier part ever the day so it took a bit for the sun to come out and we had the rainfall that we dealt with as well. a little cooler than was anticipated. 73 at annapolis. 69 in baltimore. we have 72 at hagerstown. 69 at dulles. 72 at d.c. and 66 to the south at fredericksburg. here is a look at what is happening. we have this system that will move its way across the area as we head through into today. it will be a hot day and as we head through into tomorrow, we'll be dealing with a frontal system that will cross through. a weak front to the south of us for today. this is going to approach us, bring us some rain showers and a chance of some storms for your saturday. the good news

convention has been nominating the speech. robin from warrenton, virginia is a fan. and i think that the former president hit a home run with his speech last night. as always, he hit the target on all the policies. the only thing that he did not mention is the non-cooperation that president obama's gotten from the republicans in the congress and senate. and also, president clinton did not mention about ryan running faster than he did. who was he trying to impress with that one? actually, he mentioned the non- cooperation factor in what he called the patriot of president obama by some on the other side. as for paul ryan's marathon time, which is what you're talking about there, he said he ran one in under three hours and apparently the time was more than four hours. he says it was a long time ago and he simply forgot. it's a little tough to believe since the three-hour marathon time is pretty elite and well, you're not likely to forget that you could do such a thing. however, i'll take him at his word when he says he has forgotten. >>> and then this on the whole other subject fro
